About Us

We are an independent ecology consultancy with our head office based in Leatherhead, Surrey. Our work takes us across England and includes a range of projects from barn and loft conversions to large scale urban expansions, new solar farms (PV) and new town design and green and blue infrastructural development.

We have over 20 years of experience in the consultancy sector and our team brings together a wealth of experience and technical excellence. We are passionate about our job and believe that effective ecological management can be achieved alongside development. As such, The Ecology Partnership is able to provide the appropriate and sustainable solutions to support the projects that we become involved in.

We undertake a range of protected species and habitat surveys. We produce comprehensive EcIAs, HRAs and mitigation reports,

including condition discharge reports and protected species mitigation and licensing documents.

We provide Biodiversity Net Gain evaluations, opportunities and constrains and consult on Building with Nature  standards. These comprehensive inputs into master planning and design ensure high standards are achieved and environmental objectives and development opportunities are met.

All of our ecologists are members of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and hold relevant degrees along with protected species licences. In addition, the Ecology Partnership is a Registered Practice of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management. Our team of highly experienced ecologists provides a professional yet personal service and we pride ourselves on the quality of our work.

With our head office based in Surrey, The Ecology Partnership’s services cover the whole of the south and south east of England. We aim to provide our clients with positive, sustainable solutions that meet the appropriate UK legislative guidelines for the protection of wildlife and their habitats. Because our services are tailored to individual projects, we are able to provide our clients with the most cost-effective solutions, advising and working together at every stage.

We are involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from single house schemes with bat roosts, to urban extensions where EcIAs and HRAs are required. Our clients are also therefore equally varied

spanning eco builders to master planners, national house builders and infrastructure managers. As such we have a wealth of experience that can provide a valuable resource for our clients. We are also friendly – so do please pick up the phone to ask us questions.

Some of our services, such as bats, reptiles and great crested newt surveys, are however, constrained to particular seasons, therefore, we advise planning for works in advance to ensure that every possible implication is investigated.
